Ok so I have been having fun… Between Martial Arts, finishing up my degree, and working on my business, the summer has just seemed to fly by.  In a week or so it will be Labor Day.  Early this summer I made a list of things I wanted to do.  Half of the items I have completed, the other half was kind of dream like items like, fly to Spain, Go to Oktoberfest, and audition for a reality show.

Living here on the East Coast there are few opportunities to audition for shows, unless you are willing to travel.  Most of the opportunities are in California.  So I decided to change the audition for a reality show to audition for a a game show.  This past Thursday, I had the opportunity to complete another item on my list…I attended open auditions for the Deal Or No Deal Game show.  The open auditions were at Foxwoods Casino in CT.

All I can say is everyone and I mean EVERYONE should audition for something.

Anyway, my roommate Andy and I went through the process.  The producers were looking for people to fill specific slots for upcoming shows.  He also mentioned that one recent contestant auditioned 3 years ago, and finally got an opportunity and won $165,000.  At that time, I know we were not going to get the immediate call back, but there was still an opportunity to appear on the show.  It was going to take a little longer for our opportunity to appear on the show.   : )

I put my thoughts on video here:

I’m an avid fan of reality TV shows. I like them because they provide some sort of entertainment… even if they are… well crafted. If you didn’t know by now then YOU SHOULD KNOW the producers of reality shows do work very hard to manipulate the contestants so that a entertaining show is created. I’ve accepted that crock for all but one show. Big Brother! The reason why I like or liked or have lost interest or trust in the show is that it’s what I called a Real-Time Reality Show.

See Big Brother is a show that brings 10 to 13 people together in a house to plot, scheme, lie, cheat whatever to pick one another off one-by-one over a period of 90 days.  What made this show different is the contestants were in the house while the show aired, you could see them 24 X 7, and you could develop your own opinion of the events occurring in the house without the producers editing it.

Over the past few years, the Big Brother show has attempted to give America a voice in the game, by:

  • Having a player that did what America wanted for the season
  • Picking a player each week to do what America wanted
  • Giving a player a special power to overturn who would or would not be evicted

I guess it was the producers way of learning who America liked and disliked to basically pick the ultimate winner who receives the $500,000 prize.

Ok So I’ve been really quiet on the blog. It’s because I’ve been busy handling several items offline, like attending job fairs, visiting the unemployment office, getting my health insurance taken care of, spending time with my family… my mom was in the hospital, and of course developing my over all plan of attack.

What happened is almost 3 weeks slipped away! Yikes! But I have to say, that I don’t regret one moment of spending time with my Mom, as she almost did not make it to Mother’s Day! Luckly for me we caught the issue early enough to treat her.

It’s looking like June will be a big push to make things happen to make up for May, and I will have to push my challenge another 60 days to really put my plan into action. I have a lot of items to share with my tests, and overall plans for keeping myself occupied while looking for work and building my buisness long-term.

Stay Tuned;
Lisa M

I have another 5 days of work ahead of me before I take my scheduled vacation (we planned it back in January) for 5 days.

I just realized its Thursday!  While I’ve been quiet on the blog, I have been doing a lot of work behind the scenes.  Today, I’ve been reviewing a product called: Next Online Celebrity.

Now when I first saw the product, I kind of chuckled at it.  But after reading and thinking about it, the ebook makes sense.  Just how does someone become famous or get in front of the decision makers that can help realize your goals?

Even if you don’t know the right people, or have the financial connections,  reaching celebrity status is still possible and very achievable.  As you become known, there are opportunities to cash in and set yourself up financially for life.

It’s just a matter of knowing what to do and when to do the right things that will help you become a star, Next Online Celebrity, or land that dream job.  The Next Online Celebrity guide can be used for many purposes like getting on a reality TV show, finding agents in Hollywood, or landing your dream job.

I actually think companies would like someone to generate their own positive press to stand out.  It shows initiative and a desire to succeed.

Give the book at try Next Online Celebrity:

Until Next Time;
